Privacy

The short version

Lightmorphic Flow carries your keystrokes, your pointer and your clipboard between your own computers, over your own network. Nothing it carries is sent to us or to anyone else. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

Who we are

Lightmorphic Ltd is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17423646, at 82A James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE.

The application

Everything it handles stays between the computers you have paired together:

• Your keystrokes and pointer movement are passed straight to whichever of your computers the pointer is on, over an encrypted link on your own network. Nothing is written to a file and nothing is kept once it has been delivered.
• Clipboard text is copied to the other computers you have paired, and only to those. It is held in memory long enough to send, and nowhere else.
• Your settings — which computers you have allowed, where each one sits, and the code and certificate that identify them — are files on your own machine, readable only by you.
• Logs record which computer connected and when, never what you typed.

The application makes one kind of request beyond your own network: it asks GitHub whether a newer version exists, when it starts and every half hour, and it downloads one if you click to say so. That request carries no information about you, about your computers, or about anything you have typed. Turning off the update dot's checking is a matter of not running the settings window.

This website

The site is a set of static files hosted by GitHub Pages. We set no cookies, run no analytics, and use no tracking pixels. We do not have accounts, and there is no form to fill in.

Like every web host, GitHub receives your IP address and browser user-agent as a technical necessity of serving a page, and may keep short-lived server logs. We do not have access to those logs. GitHub's own privacy practices are described in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to how it is used. Because we hold no personal data about visitors or users, in practice there is nothing for us to return, correct or delete. You can still ask, and we will answer.
