Accessibility

Our aim

This website is intended to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA.

What we have done

• Every page works from the keyboard alone, and the focus outline is visible against the background at every step.
• Text and background colours were measured for contrast rather than eyeballed, and meet the level AA thresholds.
• Headings are in order, landmarks are marked up, and each page starts with a skip link.
• Links and buttons have touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
• Illustrations are drawn as inline graphics with text alternatives; those that are decorative are hidden from screen readers.
• The layout reflows to a narrow screen without horizontal scrolling, down to 320 pixels wide.
• Nothing moves, flashes or auto-plays.

Known limitations

The settings window in the application itself is built with GTK and follows your desktop's own accessibility settings; it has not yet been tested with a screen reader. If you find something that does not work for you, please say so.

The application

Lightmorphic Flow itself exists to help people who find typing difficult or slow. It is operated by clicking one button, has no keyboard shortcuts to memorise, and offers three sizes of that button. Its interface has not been formally audited against a desktop accessibility standard, and it does not yet have a full screen-reader-only workflow.
